In keeping with our belief of sharing all health information, we are saddened to report that our very special boy, Carlos "Statesman's Sea Hero" is unilaterally dysplastic. Many people had hopes of using him in their breeding programs. The only bright side is that Carlos has 6 full or half brothers, and hopefully one or more of them can fill his place in our breeding program. For now, Carlos will remain at Statesman and receive all possible therapy to reduce any negative effects from the dysplasia.
The following photos show Buddy "Truepenny Patriot Games" running his last run in agility at age eleven. Buddy's sire was our Ch. Merry One's I'm A Statesman "Alex". Buddy received 25 different titles in many areas of performance events. Though retired, I am sure that Buddy will still get to do lots of fun things.

_________________________________________________________ STATESMAN'S CRAFTY ADMIRAL "Skipper" has discovered his true calling..... BIRDS!!!! He did this at the field training day of the national specialty weekend. Skipper has three majors and a total of 11 points by 1 year of age. We are proud of Skipper, his mom, Julie, and his other mom, Doreen!
_________________________________________________________________________ Statesman's Nodouble "Cardigan" Commiskey was very cooperative in providing the following lovely photo opportunities. Cardigan has both majors and is close to completing his championship, but has been busy being a certified therapy dog. You can see from his expression that he was born to be a therapy dog.
__________________________________________________________ Statesman's Contender "Arthur" owned by Elizabeth Weldon got to spend a couple of days playing in the red Georgia clay while his mom went to a horse show. He is pictured below learning how to play show dog.
Statesman's Cause to Believe "Brave" owned and handled by Frankie Snipes now has 5 points towards his championship.

Tucker also has his UKC championship and won two UKC Best in Shows along the way.
